    Black office chair

I purchased this chair in March 2024, It is okay but not great. I find that the wheels don’t move very smoothly while seated. I don’t use the headrest probably will just take that off.

    Great chair for the price

Very comfortable and has adjustable back support. Great price as well. The headrest is good once I tightened it. Arm rest are adjustable up and down but not forward and back.

    chair.

Arrived on time and the package looked good. We have to leave the chair in the box for a while before installing it. Then we’ll know if we like it or not.

    Good value for money

Comfortable chair for the money, even after a full 8 hours of sitting, it’s still comfortable, the mesh back really helps keep cool. If I were to ding it, it would be it’s not as adjustable as I would have liked, especially the headrest, it would be nice if it was a little higher. I’m 6ft 1in tall and I cant rest my head comfortably, but as I don’t often sit back as it’s an office chair, used for work, this is a minor gripe.

Armrest did not last very long

As you can see the attached photo, taken at less than 7 months after purchase, where the armrest is falling apart from normal everyday use.Update: They sent the replacement armrest eventually so changing it to 4 stars all things considered.

    For short and petite people

If you’re any taller than 5’8” then this chair is not for you. The seat is pretty small. With the chair propped all the way up, it is still too short. The head rest barely makes it to the top of my shoulders and that’s at the highest the headrest will go. It’s only the first day of owning the chair, can’t say much for longevity and quality at this point. The chair is quiet and seems to function fine. How long it lasts will be a mystery. But if you’re tall or even average. This chair probably isn’t big enough for you.

    Such a good chair.

  13. J. Helmich

    4.0 out of 5 stars

    Very good

The chair is very comfortable and seems to be a very sturdy/quality construction. Taking off 1 star for the armrests though. Their height is great, but they have a strange grooved design that makes them very uncomfortable when the arms are not perfectly parallel with them. Since the armrests are fixed to face forward (can’t be angled like some other chairs allow), the arms are often not comfortable

Pretty good value for the money so far

I wanted to take a few days with this chair before I gave a review. It comes with adjustable armrest height, adjustable headrest height and angle, as well as reclining with a lock that can lock it into one of 3 positions: fully upright, half reclined, and fully reclined. Additionally, this chair also comes with an adjustable lumbar support built into the back of the chair. It has a screw knob on the back that allows you to move it inward or outward depending on your preference. This is a major upgrade from the old gaming chair I had.Assembly went fairly smoothly, aside from forgetting to add the shims/washers, but that’s on me. The process took about 30-45 minutes for me to assemble. I also noted that it looks like some of the components like the back and armrests can be installed in one of two different positions, or they have slots rather than holes. This allows for you to install the armrests closer/further if you would like as well as the back of the chair. The build quality is also much better than my old chair. The base and legs are made of metal rather than plastic which gives me a bit more peace of mind.I do have some issues with this chair, however. The most glaring of which is the headrest. There’s not really a way to lock the headrest angle to one that you like, so if you lean back wrong then it can turn the headrest in an uncomfortable direction. I also would have liked to have the ability to adjust the headrest backward and forward rather than just up and down, but I am still surprised with how much the chair can be adjusted at this price point.Time will tell if this chair holds up, but as far as an early purchase review goes, I am very pleased with the quality and value.

Easily the best chair I have ever used, even though it can be noisy when I move.

I saw a lot of reviews on this chair, and although some of them were not really good, I really like this char. The quality is great, Cushion is great, and it was easy to assemble. However, the only downside is that after a while of using it, it makes a lot of noise when I move. I can’t really blame the chair for that, because I am not an expert on assembling chairs and maybe I needed to tighten more the crews.Overall a great chair.

    So far so good

It’s a pretty sturdy chair and looks great, I am about 300lbs and I haven’t had any issues reclining or while sitting at all, the seat is very comfortable as I sit for long periods of time I do get some booty pain but that’s to be expected when sitting for 5+ hours for a budget chair but I’d say it’s great for the price

Great chair at this price point

The chair is easy to assemble, looks nice aesthetically and is very sturdy.

After 2 years, we’re breaking up. Maybe it’s just me?

After having this chair for almost two years, I think it is time that I move on. I am not sure if it is the fault of the chair’s design or my taking to it. I’ll start with the positives:(Note that I have a leg rest version which I no longer see on this listing at the time of writing.)Durability: 22 months later and the chair is still holding up. It seems to be very well made. No tears in the seat fabric nor the mesh screen. With daily use, it looks almost exactly as it did coming out of the box. Seems like good craftsmanship!Features: This thing is feature-rich! A locking rocker, removable headrest, adjustable arm rests, lumbar “bump” control (both in height and depth!), and the leg rest. By far the best leg rest I have ever seen/used! You can choose between different angles (see pictures) and different lengths. It is sturdy and supportive.Customizability: Like I mention with the features, you can adjust just about every part of this chair. Whether you want height, recline, high wrists/low wrists, headrest or no headrest, the angle of the headrest… you can even choose how the lumbar feels. Also, the chair was very easy for me to assemble. I had it operational in under 20 minutes. Here is the issue… Comfort. It’s a big one.Despite its ergonomic design and features, I never fully felt “comfortable” sitting in this chair for longer than an hour. As a business intelligence analyst and avid gamer, I do spend a lot of time sitting, and comfort is important. Especially given the condition my back has been in since an accident several years ago.Backrest: The back rest is always jiggling. I am unable to sit upright at 90 degrees which is the position my PT wants me in while sitting. Whenever I lean back, it jiggles and I am at maybe 110 degrees in the most straight position I can muster. If I could just squeeze the backrest tighter with the seat, that would solve a lot!Seat: The seat is also wide and flat for my preference. I am not a large person but I am not too small either. Unlike previous chairs I have owned, I always find myself leaning to one side of the seat, pinching my hip, after about 30-60 minutes of continuous sitting. At this time, my rear begins to ache as well – the seat is a bit too firm and could use some padding.Arm rest: The arms a bit wide. I have had chairs that adjust the arm inward at an angle or slide inward altogether to accommodate a more narrow elbow position. I cannot do that with this chair which I believe also adds to my leaning towards one side.Overall, I just seem to always feel achy after standing up. No chair is going to be perfect when sitting for long periods, but for $270 I expected a bit more. I know posture plays a factor, but I am very considerate of my posture as a result of long-term physical therapy. I may have bought too much into the ergonomics marketing. And trust me, I’ve tried everything I can think of to make ends meet; from seat cushions to back cushions (to both at once), head rest, no head rest, every configuration possible… It just didn’t work out.I don’t want to knock the chair too hard, some of this could just be me. It is durable, customizable, and sleek, and I am sure many people will find it comfortable. But for me, I think I will be back in the market for a new long-term partner.

    Skeptical at first

Holy cow, the prices of a desk chair are crazy these days. With that being said, I bought this on sale for around 150.00 (USD).I just assembled the chair and wanted to leave a ‘first impressions’.I was a little hesitant to purchase the chair at first. It had decent reviews, but I always look at the lowest rating when deciding to see what type of complaints there are, so I always get a bit nervous when making these purchases. With that being said, the chair was very easy to assemble. I like how the Alan wrench is a hand wrench and not just the typical type that comes with ready to assemble furniture. The wrench was a little loose on some of the screws, meaning it can be super easy to strip a screw if you’re not careful or try to over tighten. The chair allows some customization for fit (i.e. setting armrest width from the seat or depth of the back piece from the seat). These are great features IMO, but if you are not careful can lead to the chair being lopsided. Just remember when putting together to loosely screw in the items, then tighten them once you have it positioned correctly. On the seat base especially, remember to tighten in a zig-zag pattern, evenly. The seat kept trying to reposition itself lopsided as I tightened, so just go slow and even when screwing it in.Overall, it seems like a decent chair for the $150.00 that I paid. I’m not sure if I would have bought the chair at the normal price, but so far seems worth it.I plan on doing an update after having it for a bit to see how well it wears, etc.

    Gran silla

The media could not be loaded.

    Comfortable and easy to assemble

I was able to assemble the chair very quickly and have been using it for my home office for about a week now. The chair has been comfortable, sturdy, and provides good back support. Very happy with the purchase.

Best Chair EVER! Read how it was determined…

I started working from home in June. I had an old 20+ year desk chair that had seen better days, and it was so uncomfortable, not sure why I was still using it. My knees and back hurt after sitting on it for 8+ hours a day. Mind you, I had come from a field job where I sat in my car for 8 hours a day, and that was even more comfortable than my old desk chair. So, figured it was time to purchase a new desk chair. I didn’t want to spend a fortune and I looked at the local office stores and they were either too expensive or just not comfortable when I sat on them. So I decided to check out Amazon and I am so glad that I did!! I actually ordered 3 different chairs as I wasn’t sure what size or type would work for me. When they arrived, it was like Goldie Locks and the 3 bears story. I set each chair bottom and backs on my couch (didn’t want to put them together, to not be able to get apart to return), and lined up side by side, it was looking at small, medium and large chairs in a row. One was too small, one was too hard and back too short, and one was just right, which was this chair!! It was the tallest of the three and seemed the best quality as well. I was concerned that the bottom cushion was going to be too hard, but when put together and used daily it actually is very comfortable. It gives support and my knees don’t hurt at the end of 8 hours! The back gives just the right support and is nice that it can lean back if you need it too. I haven’t really had a need to use the headrest, but know it is there if I need it, which neither of the other chairs came with. After using every day for the past two months, there have been no problems or complaints when using this chair. It moves around fine and the arm rests are comfortable with the slightly indented center areas for your arms to rest. The one and only thing is it has started to squeak from time to time, so I hope that it doesn’t get worse. I haven’t tried to source where it is coming from or tried to oil it, so for now it is a very minor nuisance.Overall for the price and the quality and comfort I would recommend this chair and hope that it lasts for years to come!!!

    Headrest for the win

Wasn’t sure about this chair because it looked a bit like the ones we use at work but this one is fantastic. Supportive, comfy and fully adjustable. The headrest is what really pleased me. Im usually very picky about head and neck supports and end up not using them, but this one is sized perfectly. It might be a challenge not to fall asleep at my desk.

Best budget office chair on the market! Ergonomic, comfortable, easy to set up!

I can’t help but gush about the incredible comfort, plush softness, and unwavering durability of the SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chair. This chair is simply in a league of its own, earning every bit of its 5-star review.Let’s dive into the comfort factor first. Picture this: sinking into a chair that feels like a warm, supportive embrace. That’s precisely how I’d describe the experience of sitting in the SIHOO chair. The cushioning is incredibly plush, and it envelops you in a cocoon of coziness. It’s like a mini oasis in the midst of a busy workday. The ergonomic design is a real game-changer, ensuring that every part of your body – from your head down to your hands – gets the support it needs. The lumbar support, in particular, is a revelation. It’s like having a personal masseuse tending to your lower back, even during long stretches at your desk. And when we talk about softness, the seat material is like sitting on a cloud. The premium mesh fabric on the backrest is not just breathable; it’s also gentle on your skin. No more uncomfortable sticking or sweating during those marathon work sessions. It’s like a gentle breeze, keeping you cool and comfortable, allowing you to stay focused and relaxed simultaneously. Now, let’s get to the durability aspect. This chair is built like a tank, but with the finesse of a luxury car. It passed rigorous tests, including the BIFMA test and that impressive 1136kg static pressure test. Translation: it’s built to last. You can confidently trust it to support up to 330 lbs without a hint of strain. Plus, the assembly is a piece of cake, thanks to the straightforward instructions. Even if you’re not particularly handy, like me, you’ll have it set up in no time. And here’s the icing on the cake: the lifetime warranty. It’s a testament to SIHOO’s unwavering commitment to quality. Should anything ever go amiss, you’re covered for life. They’ll promptly send you any necessary replacement parts, no questions asked. To sum it up, the SIHOO Ergonomic Office Chair isn’t just a chair; it’s an oasis of comfort and support in your daily routine. It’s so comfortable and soft that you’ll look forward to sitting down every day, and it’s so durable that it’ll be your trusty companion for years to come. With a lifetime warranty to seal the deal, this chair is an absolute must-have for anyone seeking comfort, quality, and durability in one outstanding package. I couldn’t be more impressed!

A Mixed Bag of Comfort and Construction

As a big and tall individual in need of a comfortable and supportive office chair, I was eager to try out the SIHOO M18 Ergonomic Office Chair. While it offers some attractive features, my experience with this chair was a blend of convenience and discomfort due to a few notable issues.Firstly, the assembly process was a breeze. The chair was easy to build, and the instructions provided clear guidance, saving me time and frustration during setup. However, one significant drawback was the plastic armrests. While they looked sturdy, they exhibited sharp edges, likely a result of the manufacturing process. Unfortunately, this led to discomfort and scratched arms during extended periods of use. The sharp edges detracted from the overall ergonomic design, leaving me with concerns about the chair’s long-term comfort. Moreover, the dips in the armrests proved to be a less-than-ideal design choice. These dips restricted arm placement options, allowing only a forward position rather than the flexibility to rest arms comfortably in the middle. This lack of adjustability hindered my ability to find a comfortable arm position during work, leading to arm fatigue and discomfort. On the positive side, the chair does offer some appealing features. The adjustable headrest and lumbar support provided decent comfort and helped maintain proper posture during long hours of work. The swivel tilt function was smooth and allowed for easy movement and adjustments to find a comfortable sitting angle. The PU wheels were a plus, as they rolled effortlessly on various surfaces, making it easy to move around the workspace without any hassle. In conclusion, the SIHOO M18 Ergonomic Office Chair offers a mix of convenience and discomfort. While the chair is easy to build and offers adjustable features like headrest and lumbar support, the sharp edges of the plastic armrests and the discomfort caused by the armrest design hinder the overall comfort of the chair. If you prioritize adjustability and easy assembly, this chair might still be worth considering, but be aware of the potential discomfort concerns, especially for extended use.*Update: A few days ago a member of the company reached out and offered to talk about my review via email and took full responsibility of the problems right off the bat and even after I returned the chair they offered to help me in more ways than I imagined. This level of customer satisfaction is commendable and rest assured while my issues may have been a one time fluke, this company will have your back and will work with you to make sure you’re completely satisfied!

    Great budget office chair

The chair was shipped quickly by Amazon, received in only 3 biz days.PROS: Assembly was very simple. As shown in my pics, you will find it easy for one person if you use the box in upright position as a platform to build the chair. That allows you to build the armrests onto the base, and then also install the back plate and lastly the back cushion. Suggest to build all of this FIRST, and then complete the wheel base and casters and install the chair onto the air cylinder as last step (diff than instructions, but much easier this way for one person).CONS: When I received the box, the way it was taped made me think it was not new – and the parts inside were scattered about with no real organization, but in the end all of the parts were sealed and easy to deal with. There is a pair of white gloves included, which is a nice touch. In my case, I had to fully assemble the wheel base (easy enuf, but others show its fully assembled in the box). I decided to forgo the plastic casters included, since I had a set of ‘in line skate’ wheels on my old chair, which I was able to pull out from old chair and re-use on this chair. The ‘in line skate’ wheels are much easier on all types of flooring and increase the movability of the chair, vs. the low profile plastic casters included with this type of budget chair (can scar hardwood flooring and very hard to move around on carpet).BUILD QUALITY: The chair is mostly hard plastic, but overall seems to be of high durability One issue for me is that the lumbar support element will not easily move freely up-and-down. Wondering if the lumbar element should be let all the way out to make it move more earsily up-and-down. Also, the handle that controls lift and tilt is quite loose. So much so, I thought initially it had been damaged or was defective. It has a lot of play side to side and basically feels as if it could break off any moment. But so far no real issues (just feels flimsy, I guess).OVERALL: I think a very good buy for the discounted $169 avail on Amazon in US as I write this review in Jan 2023. I actually preferred the orange model, but when selecting it the description changed and no longer reflected “Big and Tall” … at 6ft and 280lbs … that is a MUST HAVE for me.

Comfortable. Great Value for money. Easy to assemble. Great customer service.

I’ve been looking for a new chair to replace a cheap $30 chair i bought off of Amazon last year that had been killing my back and shoulders. I wanted something in the $150-$200 range and settled on the M18. Shipping was a fast 3 days with Prime and the box arrived in great condition. All parts were separately wrapped or in their own boxes. Came with all hardware and nothing was missing. Assembly took me a little longer then normal because i have rotator cuff injury in my left shoulder so that arm is mostly useless. The most difficult part for me was attaching the wheels to the base. Other then that it was simple.Once the chair was assembled i sat in it for the first time and started making my adjustments with the recline feature, armrest level along with the headrest. Next i reached around for the lumbar support knob and tried to adjust it but with my bad shoulder i decided to just get out of the seat and turn it around and adjust it with both hands. After spinning the chair a round to get at the lumbar knob i noticed a large crack in the plastic in the middle of the back of the lumbar plastic piece. I had not made any lumbar adjustments yet so i assumed this is how i received it. The lumbar support comes preinstalled to the backrest so it either was damaged before or during the shipping process. Either way it was damaged before being delivered to me. The lumbar support still functioned properly but it was still broken.I decided to contact Sihoo’s customer support that came along with the installation instructions regarding the damaged lumbar piece. I received a reply the next day and after sending them some more info about my order and a couple pics they shipped me a replacement part which took a week to arrive. I swapped out the damaged part and after owning the chair for a week so far i am really happy with my purchase.Im about 5’10 180lbs. At its highest height level my feet reach the ground comfortably flat footed. The backrest fully covers my back and the headrest adjusts very well to sit on the back of my lower head/upper neck. The armrests only go up and down….not forward and back or tilt inwards. This is fine for me as they are grooved to fit your forearm while sitting at your desk/keyboard. The armrests are also a soft cushioned rubber material…not a hard plastic. The mesh of the backrest and headrest are good material and seem well made. The seat is very wide and the cushioning is firm which i prefer. Usually more firm cushioning seems to last longer and hold its form. The base of the chair is VERY sturdy and made of all metal. My chair is on carpet and holds its position very well. As far as recline goes you can set it to recline all the way back, half way or lock the chair in the upright position. You can also adjust the resistance on the reclining feature. So that being said im very happy with my purchase. It arrived with a slight flaw which the company corrected in a fast manor and was very polite in their customer support. I personally don’t have a lot of experience with many office chairs and have never used a high end chair($500-$1000+) chair before to make any comparisons. All my chairs for the most part have been from local stores like Staples or Office Depot. Id recommend this over anything they carry in this price range….and i went and looked at their products before buying this chair as well.

Comfortable chair with great back support.

Good: Quality of materials used to build this chair is good, it feels sturdy, I would prefer little stronger spring but it’s meets my expectations.Mesh fabric of seat and back makes it easy to maintenance and keep the overall chair weight low.Best: Back support is great especially for tall person 6’+, and neck support works as expected, plus it can be adjusted to support your neck.Bad: The default position for hand rest is little high, may be it just me but sometime it causes pain in my shoulder .you can move it up though which is not that useful in my case. The seat depth is little less at least by 2-3 inch, I would prefer little deeper seat so it supports thigh better.Overall this chair meets my expectations, it is sturdy, thoughtfully designed and can be used for sitting long hrs.

Comfy but lower to the floor than I like

The chair was relatively easy to assemble. I would recommend doing inventory of the parts first, as a friend had a missing part in their package; I did not.Chair support: the back support on this chair is good, but not as adjustable as other chairs I have tried in different working environments. It does what I need it to do. The cushioning is quite durable so far, with consistent use.Height: my biggest issue with this chair is with the height off of the ground. And for this reason, I would not buy it again. The highest setting is much lower than I would normally have my chairs. I like to be a little higher off of the ground. I would search for a chair that set higher than this one. But this really is the only issue I have with the chair. Otherwise, it meets my needs very well.Cleaning: The backing of the chair responds very well to using canned air dusters. And the seat wipes clean with a damp cloth, as does the “chrome” pieces. For the right person, this is an amazing chair, as it provides good support for the price. However, it is not right for me and I will be looking at a different type of chair the next time I buy.

    My Everyday Programming Chair

As a computer programmer, you would be correct in guessing that I spend most of my day in front of a computer. Therefore, I needed a comfortable and supportive chair to prevent back or neck pain. While I was willing to spend more for comfort, I decided to wait for a Herman Miller chair until I could increase my chair budget. So, this “SIHOO” chair was an excellent choice for me.Before buying this chair, I looked at every other chair on Amazon and learned a lot about chairs in general. I discovered that they are created for different purposes. First, I had to find one that fit my profile. I’m 5’8″ and weigh around 150 pounds (I skip meals), and I sit for 12+ hours daily as part of my job. The result is I’ve had the chair for 40-ish days, and I am not getting sore from sitting for long periods, unlike my previous chair.Regarding the unboxing, the box was delivered to my door by Amazon. The assembly took a little time (30 minutes?), but all the tools and hardware needed were included, and the instructions were easy to follow. I laid out all the parts and compared them to the instructions. Oh! Due to the design, the headrest must be tightened to stay in one place. Be sure to check this during assembly. I will be saving the installation tool for future tightening if needed. They even included little gloves because the grease can get on your hands. That was thoughtful, but I’ve got some big American man’s hands (I appreciate the gesture). The cushion feels like memory foam, making it firm but comfortable for long hours of sitting. The back is made of breathable mesh, providing excellent support, which is especially appreciated in Florida’s high humidity during the summer. The armrests go up and down, which is a great feature. The aluminum legs look great. I like to recline, and this chair has a tilt function that allows me to do so. The casters roll smoothly, but I bought a thick glass mat to use the chair on my carpet. I recommend doing this if you have carpet.Ultimately, the price was excellent, and the 3-year warranty is a great bonus, making this chair feel like an excellent value for the cost. I am delighted with my purchase. Did I want a Herman Miller? Yes, but I recommend this one to anyone looking for a comfortable and supportive chair for long hours of computer programming or any other work without the premium price tag.

    One word: Comfortable

Sihoo is awesome. I was debating this model vs the other ones but I ultimately went with this one (plus it’s in a different color vs black and gray which look just as good). Compared to an apartment furnished chair and the work chair I sit on all day, this is next level comfortable. I have not felt any discomfort, back pain, feeling the need to stretch once I get up after sitting for hours on end, it does its job excellently- I have zero complaints and will only say that this chair is just “comfortable” for great price with excellent quality and technology behind it. If I have to order another chair in the future, I will be 100%, buying from this brand again, I trust Sihoo including they are backed by warranties (this one has lifetime so if anything were to happen I can reach out). Also, love the headrest that comes with it, adds to the comfort.I’m not sure about other people’s experience with this chair be it negative but one reviewer on here that helped prompted my decision to buy this was that he is a programmer and sits all day and never felt any discomfort. Think about how long you sit on a chair and from the moment you get up, do you feel any discomfort or pain, if you don’t you have your answer and you can always return the product should you such things.Anyways, thank you Sihoo! Love the brand and quality.

    Comfortable and adjustable!

One of the most comfortable and tunable chairs I’ve used. I am 6ft1, 210lbs. I happened to try it out at a friend’s house and insisted they send me a link!Finding the instructions in the box was a bit frustrating. They were inside of the plastic covering the seat of the chair, instead of just loosely packed in the box. Having already read complaints about missing instructions, I immediately feared I was one of the victims, until I got half way though the assembly and turned the seat over to notice them stuck in there. I would have searched more diligently if not for the reviews. But it all worked out in the end. This is the first cloth seated office chair I have ever purchased. I wish they had scotchguarded it. Minus 1 star.On day 5, a full cup of coffee was attacked by a large bag of chips and went flying off the table when I had my back turned! You can’t make this stuff up!The seat absorbed it like a sponge. I had even thought to Scotchguard it the previous evening, and was too lazy to follow through. So…Scotchguard this ASAP when you get it! The cloth seat is more comfortable than my previous leather and pleather chairs that cost the same or more. Also, I’m not building up as much heat in the seat. The arm rests are not perfect. The adjustment is okay. But there is a sharp edge where the bottom and top half of the outer shell was formed. It can almost cut your hand and detracts from the comfort of the chair when you hit that edge or grip the armrest as you are sitting down or getting up. The armrests seem adequate at present but they are about 35% thinner than the armrests on my old chair, of similar composition. I’m not confident they will hold up and be comfortable over the long term.Another caveat about this type of armrest shell, is that the plastic tends to crack over time from your elbows and arms digging into it, along with body oils that seem to attack the the pleather surface. When that happens, it pinches your arm when used. That was the main reason for replacing my older chair. I hope this one may have some better results. Time will tell. The mesh back is comfortable and allows my skin to breath. I really love being able to adjust the recline position to more than one angle! It’s usually all or nothing. The adjustments on the lumbar and headrest are useful and comfortable .The chair doesn’t raise up as high as my old chair, but it is adequate, barely. Overall, I would give the chair 4 stars so far and would buy it again.I may try to trim the sharp edge on the armrest. The left one seems to be the real problem. The right armrest seems better formed near the front edge where I notice it most. The right armrest has the sharper edge toward the back where I don’t contact it often.

1.5 years in, the back wont stop leaning.

Overall, this chair is great. Its comfy, high quality, and is relatively cheap. However, the back of the chair wont stop leaning back. In its highest position, its supposed to be a 90 degree angle. Now, in its highest position, it sits at like 130 degrees.I dont know if its just user error or if its broke, but i will definitely have to buy a new chair soon.

3 Year Review – Not For Me

Update 10/24/2022:The seller reached out to me and offered me a full refund even after 3 years of use. They stated that what matters to them is that a customer is fully satisfied with their product and if not, then they are willing to pay for it. Although the product did not meet my standards of satisfaction, the customer service offered by SIHOO and their willingness to stand behind customer satisfaction is rare. I still stand behind my full review but have bumped up the star rating to accommodate for their surprising level of customer service.Original Review:For a quick summary so you can move on to the next review:The seat cushion bottom’s out and you can feel the wood/plastic base. My model came with a foot-rest extension. The foot-rest is too short for me when fully extended and digs in to my ankles. The back rest has some “play” when fully upright and never gives you a truly upright seated position. I’ve owned it for 3 years and it’s just not for me.Details:For some background, I’m a 6’0 tall 180lbs male and I work from home. I also spend a lot of non-working hours on this chair because gaming is my preferred pastime activity. I need a chair that can handle 8+ hours of use.Seat: From the day this chair arrived I’ve had issues with it. My biggest concern was with the seat cushion. I immediately felt the bottom of the base when I sat on it. My wife, who’s considerably lighter than me also mentioned that the seat was too uncomfortable for her. I’ve just dealt with the uncomfortable seat until enough time went by where it felt like all cushion was completely gone. From that point forward I’ve used a pillow to add comfort.Backrest: The backrest has some “play” or wiggle room when in locked positions. When fully upright, I want a backrest that stays in place so I can sit back, upright and get to work. This was never the case with this chair. When in the fully upright position, if you lean back into the chair you’ll feel the backrest give in slightly putting you in a posture that’s slightly off from upright causing you to tuck your chin in a bit to accommodate. This wiggle room is enough to where I keep my lower back resting on the backrest but I can’t lean my upper back into the seat. It’s annoying but not unusable. When fully leaning back to lounge and watch some videos I find my shoulders coming in contact with the chair frame. This means I’m never fully comfortable when fully leaned back. I do love the mesh material though. The breathability is great and allows my body to naturally cool.Foot-rest Extension: The foot-rest extension (included with my model but possibly discontinued?) is too short for me. In the fully extended position it’s constantly digging in to the back of my ankles to the point where I slightly bend my knees and just place my feet on the foot-rest instead. My feet extend over the edge of the foot-rest a good 6 or 7 inches. If you’re shorter then maybe you’ll be fine.Build Quality and Customer Service: The build quality is decent and lasted a good 3 years before things started to break. The first item that broke was the locking mechanism for the foot-rest. My customer service experience with Sihoo was great. A quick message via Amazon or Email and somebody quickly got back to me and sent a replacement foot-rest at no cost. The second part to break was the metal bracket that holds the backrest tilting mechanism. This would probably mean the entire backrest needs to be replaced. Instead of going through the hassle of dealing with any replacements, I’ve decided to move on and purchase a new chair.Misc: The remaining parts of the chair are fine. The armrest is comfortable enough to rest your arms but not modular enough to adjust to your liking. The headrest is comfortable enough to use while lounging back into the chair but not usable when in an upright position. I replaced the original caster wheels to work better on my solid floor.Final Thoughts: At close to $300 I got about $100/yr use out of this chair but didn’t enjoy the experience very much. The main components that should provide comfort were not fully there. All in all, I stuck with it and made modifications as needed to “get by” but I can’t fully recommend this chair for anybody with a similar build or need.

    Better than expected…

For reference, I’m 6’1″ (fluctuating between 240-260 lbs. right now). I have a tech & writing job, so I spend a lot of time at the computer even at home. I also have numerous chronic joint injuries to include degenerative discs.Purchased on sale, so it cost the same as the last couple “gaming chairs” I had purchased. I could tell it was already several degrees of higher quality than those other chairs just from pulling it out of the box. Other chairs have thin metal bases which over time bend, the flimsy plastic handles snap off, and there just isn’t enough seat area to go around. Not so with this chair. I am happy with my purchase.Pros:* Sturdy Metal Construction where it is expected; Extra thick plastic where the plastic goes.* 5 wide profile metal pronged wheel base; sturdy-smooth rolling wheels; well-balanced in all reclining positions; you’d have to try really really hard to tip it over.* 3 hard-set recline positions; Spring release recline mechanism (so you don’t get thwacked); it doesn’t recline to a full lying position, but it reclines far enough where you could fall asleep if using an external foot rest. The full upright is fully upright with no wiggle. Yes!!!* relatively deep seat; seat is wide enough for a decent manspread, especially since the arms can actually be adjusted outward rather than the static squeeze on the thighs;*noticeably more gas pressure in the cylinder makes it sturdier;*mesh back will enhance breathability; lumbar support is adequate (probably) for most peopleNeutrals/Cons:*The seat cushion is semi-firm, more so than “gaming chairs” which are soft and always bottom out very quickly. It isn’t uncomfortable but not comfortable either, mostly because it feels like they designed the front for an edge sitter, rather than contouring it for your thighs. A 12-hour sit might not be in the cards. From experience, duplicating the mesh backing setup in the seat would be more supportive and comfortable than a foam seat. I put my silicone honeycomb seat pad on it. It fits perfectly so most minor inconveniences solved.* The head rest doesn’t fully extend to my height for what you would expect for a head rest. However, I found that I could adjust it to where it is a neck rest and cradles the base of my skull. It is actually more comfortable when used this way, especially if you have disc issues.* The lumbar support, as I said, is adequate, but not up to the level of my $850 office chair. That’s to be expected. A little more adjustability would be preferred though if you are going to advertise it as a feature. The seat is deep enough that I could add my own lumbar pillow, so problem solved.Trivial:* The instruction manel is a tad better than those Swedish manuals, and much better than most Chinese manuals. It is multi-lingual and everything is labelled properly and matches the labelling on the parts. It should be noted that a Shem is not a historical figure, it is a Washer.* Extra bolts and shems for every type. Not needed but appreciated.* Everything lines up as expected and tightens well. Even if there was slight manufacture defect, the engineers give you enough wiggle room for adjustments that you could even accommodate for effects.* A T-style tool was included. It was designed to make tightening a breeze and not aggravate my arthritis or rip skin off. Thank you!* A pair of cotton work gloves were included. They reminded me of Mickey Mouse gloves. The size reaches from my wrist to my first knuckle, so definitely not fitting. Also, the well designed parts and tools ensured there was little to no risk of hurting yourself. Although the thought is appreciated, the manufacturer could probably skip the inclusion. I will add them to my annual donation pile.Update (10/23/2022): Figured out the lumbar adjustment. It is now extremely comfortable. Disregard previous complaint. I’ve been sitting in this for hours now, and it actually makes my back feel better.

    So comfortable

This is a wonderful chair and for the price it’s a no brainer. The seat has adequate cushioning and is wide enough for a bigger person like me. The pneumatic, tilt, and neck rest adjustment are easy to use, and the armrests can be adjusted to level of desk to relieve wrist strain. Nice job with this!

    Good product overall

Good product and fairly comparable chair and adjustable. I am only 5’10, and the back is either not tall enough or the headrest will not go high enough that it hits in a bit of an awkward spot. Still a good purchase, just wish the headrest would go up a bit more.

Good for a budget chair but…

It’s a nice budget chair, but the seat gets too hot too fast. I’m a skinny guy who usually wears lightweight clothing. Absolutely uncomfortable during summer here in California (the seat). I like the adjustable lumbar support. I can feel it really pressing against me in its maxed out position. When I was first looking for a chair, I was debating between the Branch chairs vs this one. I chose this since I didn’t feel ready yet to justify spending money on a expensive chair. Before this chair, I used to sit on a Costco ergo mesh chair which costed around 80s to 90s. Hated it as the mesh got loose and weaker over time after like 3 to 4 years of long use.

    Just do it!

Exactly as expected. I’m on the taller side for a female (5’8) and this chair is great. I love the headrest and the ease of setting this chair up. I use this chair 8+ hours a day and have no complaints.I had it delivered to my office and put it together in about 15 minutes with no assistance. If I can do it, anyone can!

    Good office chair

This is the second office chair I bought for home for last 20 years (and I paid year 2000 $300 for the previous one…), but I changed a lot of chairs at work, and some of them were really expensive… at least that’s what I was told. There is nothing in this chair I can complain for… it is better than my current work office chair.Comfortable for my 6ft 200lb, doubt it is for tall and big… seen some.
